I’m an award-winning writer and content strategist. I create content – articles, blog posts, books, briefs and submissions, speeches, web copy and social media content and organize and optimize it.
I write content that can be reused and adapted to multiple platforms for print, web, social media and apps so users have a personalized experience.
I structure and organize content from users’ perspective and expectations. This includes designing taxonomies, developing meaningful metadata, and structuring search engine optimization key terms and controlled vocabularies so that content is findable and performs on search engines.
I’ve published more than 1,800 articles and my content has appeared in the Globe & Mail, the Huffington Post, the National Post, the Province, the Vancouver Sun, and on a range of client and corporate websites, including Industry Canada’s website.
I’m was a six-time judge in the Western Magazine awards, and I’ve also been a judge for the Society of Technical Communicators and for the BC Book Awards. I hold a BA and an MLIS degree as well as certificates in competitive intelligence, information architecture, statistics and technical writing. I’m currently working part-time towards a Masters Degree in Journalism at Harvard. I serve on the City of Richmond Advisory Committee on the Environment and on the Agriculture Advisory Committee.
I’m a member of the Canadian Association of Journalists, the Science Writers Association of Canada and Content Strategy Vancouver.
