I’m an award-winning writer of articles, blog posts, books, briefs and submissions, speeches, web copy and social media content.
I’ve published more than 2,000 articles and my content has appeared in the Globe & Mail, the Huffington Post, the National Post, the Province, the Vancouver Sun, and on a range of client and corporate websites, including Industry Canada’s website.
I develop taxonomies and meaningful metadata, and structure search engine optimization key terms and controlled vocabularies so content is findable and performs on search engines.
I was a six-time judge in the Western Magazine awards, and I’ve been a judge for the Society of Technical Communicators and for the BC Book Awards. I hold a BA and an MLIS degree as well as certificates in competitive intelligence, information architecture, statistics and technical writing.
I’m working on a Masters Degree in Journalism at Harvard.
I sit on the City of Richmond Advisory Committee on the Environment and on the Agriculture Advisory Committee.
I’m a member of the Canadian Association of Journalists, the Science Writers Association of Canada and Content Strategy Vancouver.
